Know your boundaries...

If I could compare time frames to anything, it would be a fence. A fence immediately makes it clear to all who see it that there is a line here. A clear separation from one thing to another. When you are setting up the time frames for your business, you are creating clear separations for how your phone system will route calls during particular parts of the day or even particular days of the year. So whether you want to make sure you don't get calls during lunch or on a certain holiday, you can set all of that up on the Time Frames page.

*These time frames are to be used with Answering Rules and need to be set up prior to creating the answering rules. There are three types: Always, Days and Times, and Specific Dates.*

What Do I Click?

Adding a time frame

    A. Time Frame: Always

    Click the Time Frames Icon → click the blue Add Time Frame button → Name your Time Frame → select the Always radio tab → click Save. This serves as a catch-all when no other time frames apply.

B. Time Frame: Days and Times

    Click the Time Frames Icon → click the blue Add Time Frame button → Name your Time Frame → select the Days of the week and times radio tab → Select the days of the week with the checkboxes for that day and user the slider to set the start and end times → click Save. 

To adjust multiples times on the same day:

Click the Time Frames Icon → click the blue Add Time Frame button → Name your Time Frame → select the Days of the week and times radio tab → Select the days of the week with the checkboxes for that day and user the slider to set the start and end times → click the green “+” sign on that day to add another slider to that day to adjust. Everything in blue is the active portion of the day. Once completed, click Save. 

    C.Time Frame: Specific Dates

    Click the Time Frames Icon → click the blue Add Time Frame button → Name your Time Frame → select the Specific Dates or Ranges radio tab → Select the start and end date range by clicking on the Calendar date and adjust the time(s) using the Hour and Minute sliders→ Use the green “+” sign to add another set of dates → click Save. 

Deleting a time frame

Click the Time Frames Icon → click on the red “X” of the time frame you wish to delete. Note: This can only be done on time frames that you own. Also, Note: deleting a time frame may also break any answering rules that are dependent on it.
